Meet the Teacher

Not the first day yet...but went to meet Naomi's teacher at school. She put her supplies in her desk and met some classmates. We are ready!

The Recorder

Naomi's school gave her a recorder and her teacher has written out some music for her to practice at home. She came home right away and gave us a concert.

Pink Eyes

So sad! Charlotte has pink eye in both eyes. We hung out at home today and made a 3-D model of an orchestra which somehow led to filling up water balloons outside. I am thankful for silent reading time right now.

A Cold Winter

Finally, today it is warm. We got out our winter coats and outdoor fire pit with enthusiasm a few weeks ago, but after a few days we were ready for the sunshine. During school today we made some paint out of egg yolk and plants from the yard (or at least we attempted to). After adding some food coloring to our dirt mixtures, Naomi painted some replicas of Giotto's Lamentations painting. She is studying the Italian Renaissance in school.

Charlotte will be a year old this Saturday. We gave her a haircut on Sunday and she no longer looks like a baby. He chubby cheeks and beautiful blue eyes are now visible.
